From April 2016 onwards we’ll be hosting and participating in 7 different events to raise as much as possible for four different charities all based in or around Leicester.  And you can take part too – whether you’re a regular at the gym, a local business or just someone willing to help their local community, there’s something for you.

Family Health and Wellbeing Festival – COMPLETE

The event

Stalls at the Health & Wellbeing FestivalWe’ll be running our own Health and Wellbeing festival for everyone to attend with the aim of helping you improve your own wellbeing. You can take a test to see if you’re diabetic, get your hearing checked, find out more about common illnesses and find out what support is out there to help you get through. There’ll also be plenty of activities for the kids from face painting to the book-bus so come along, bring the family and have a great day out.

Tough Mudder – COMPLETE

The challenge

We’re creating a team of Tough Mudders to get through a 10-12 mile obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. It’s a team challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles they won’t find anywhere else – interested in being part of the team?

The participants

Mark Deacon’s Deacons Martial Arts and Fitness team and Nakul Chauhan’s “Mudders In Arms” team are ready to go but if you wanted to join in all you have to do is raise enough funds to cover your registration fee and everything else we raise as a team will go to charity. We also have other teams who are entering and supporting the 7events campaign. Join us!!

Summer Raas and Garba Night – COMPLETE

The event

Raas Rebellion showcasing Garba outdoorsGrab your bangles and your dancing gear – on the 2nd July, in conjunction with Shree Prajapati Association, we’ll be hosting a night of raas-garba, energetic and playful dancing that everyone can participate in. You don’t even need to know how to dance, the steps are easy to learn, and if you’ve got 2 left feet, don’t worry it’s fun to watch! The event is open to everyone and to keep the little ones amused, we’ll be holding a children’s workshop before the main event and you never know, there maybe a few special appearances too…

Prudential Ride 100 Surrey – COMPLETE

The challenge

Jit Chauhan who has been selected from 100,000 applicants to cycle 100 miles through Surrey’s stunning countryside. Support Jit by offering what you can on his Virgin Giving Fund  page and get regular updates on how his training’s going – the aim is to raise as much as possible to encourage Jit to complete the entire race! Cannock Chase 10k run – COMPLETE

The challenge

If you’re after a peaceful and inspiring way to help, join us on the Cannock Chase 10k – instead of running your conventional road race, the Cannock Chase course runs through the heart of the forest and gives you the chance to see some of Cannock most breath-taking scenery.

The participants

Anyone with a competitive edge, participants will range from professional athletes to those who have never run before. We already have a team of friends and family with varying abilities. 

We have a team consisting of friends and family. There are about 10 people taking up this challenge and believe us they are taking it seriously!

When is this happening?

Sunday 7th  August 2016 – 10.30am.

Birches Valley Forest, Rugeley, Staffordshire WS15 2UQ.

Leicester Tigers away in 1 day – COMPLETE

The challenge

A few hundred miles, close to 1000miles. Sound like a challenge??

As a collective, the group will either run, row or cycle, indoors in a gym to reach a collective target distance. This distance is the equivalent of Leicester Tigers home ground to a number of the chosen premiership grounds.

The participants

You can be a keen runner, rower, cyclist or someone who wants to be part of this amazing challenge. The idea is to raise the money and awareness for our chosen charities under the “7events” and between us all we will raise an obscene amount of money (fingers crossed) for good causes.

Want to join in?

Each individual can sign up for as many 30 min slots as they wish to participate in. It can be just one type of activity, a combination of two or all three, but each activity is for 30mins on piece of equipment. E.g. you can sign up for 30 min run, two lots of 30 min runs, or 30 min run, and 30 min on an exercise bike. Any combination that you wish and it can be spread out over the day or back to back. London Marathon 2017 – COMPLETE

The challenge

Last but definitely not least – Russell Gamadia will be running 26 miles to complete the Virgin London Marathon – show your support and help us reach our final target by donating what you can and encouraging him to speed through to the finish line.
